UnitedHealthcare, a UnitedHealth Group company (NYSE: UNH), and CHI Memorial Health Care System have expanded their network relationship to now include access for UnitedHealthcare’s Medicaid (TennCare) members and enrollees in Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans to CHI Memorial’s hospitals, physicians and clinics in Tennessee.

People enrolled in UnitedHealthcare’s employer-sponsored, individual and Medicare Advantage Complete Choice plans already have in-network access to CHI Memorial’s facilities based on the two organizations’ strong, existing partnership.

“CHI Memorial has been a collaborative network partner and is an important, local provider of health care services,” said Rita Johnson-Mills, president of UnitedHealthcare’s Community Plan in Tennessee. “Our expanded relationship gives individuals and families enrolled in the state’s TennCare program access to critical health services in Chattanooga.”

“We are pleased to extend access to CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga and Hixson and our related physicians and services to even more people served by UnitedHealthcare,” said James M. Hobson, CEO of CHI Memorial. “UnitedHealthcare understands the importance of supporting access to local care delivery, and CHI Memorial has provided exceptional medical care in Chattanooga for more than 60 years. We look forward to serving more Tennesseans through this extension of our relationship with UnitedHealthcare.”
